What is the Narrasketuck Yacht Club’s mission?

Our mission is to promote safe sailboat racing, cruising and social activities. We have a 12-month racing schedule and frequent social events. Our facilities are equipped for small sailboats, dinghies and sailboat racing and we have a learn-to-sail program.

Who are the members of Narrasketuck?

Our membership encompasses a diverse group with one common element – a passion for sailing. We enjoy sailing and social activities that bring our families and friends closer together. We welcome members from all area communities.

What kinds of activities does the club provide?

Daysailing, racing, accomplished and beginners – all skill levels are represented. The club provides easy access to the Great South Bay. Dry sailing with a convenient hoist and wet slips are available. Arrive at the club and be sailing within minutes. We enjoy the fellowship and friendship of member sailors and their families. Club scheduled activities and impromptu gatherings provide a variety of opportunities for year-round fun.

How convenient is it to sail?

Arrive at the club; be sailing in minutes. The club has in-water slips for boats under 30 ft. and storage and convenient launch facilities for boats under 20 ft. on trailers. The club also offers off-season storage.

What kinds of boats are sailed?

Popular classes are daysailers such as Mariner, Lightning, Blue Jay, Opti, 420, El Toro and Sunfish. And our namesake fleet, the Narrasketuck, designed specifically for the Great South Bay, is actively raced and respected as an enduring, proud Long Island tradition.

Does Narrasketuck teach sailing?

Junior training is an important club tradition. Training is available for beginners through advanced and includes Wednesday night junior races during the summer and many other local regattas. Once a year, sailing lessons are also offered to adults. It’s an excellent way to get to know the club.

 How do I join?

Club is always accepting applications for new membership. Steps to join and an application can be found on our New Members page or by calling (631) 691-9292.
